GeneralMediSearch is committed to protecting user privacy. We do not sell any personal user data to third parties.
Usage and SecurityWe may use the following analytics data to understand how users interact with our service and to ensure our service is secure: input and output data of users, email address, country of origin of a search query, source of traffic and timestamp, and device information such as device type, device browser, operating system, device identifier, and IP address.
Uploaded FilesYou may upload files, such as images and PDF documents, to use with our service. These files may contain health information, for example medical records, lab results, or photographs. By uploading a file, you consent to our processing of the information it contains, including any health information, for the purpose of providing our service. Uploaded files are stored securely with our cloud storage providers and their contents are used to generate answers to your questions. We do not use the contents of your uploaded files for advertising, and we do not sell them to third parties. We may disclose information we collect to service providers, such as providers of hosting services, cloud services, support and safety monitoring, or to comply with a legal obligation. Pursuant to our instructions, these parties will access, process, or store data only in the course of performing their duties to us.
Payment Data and Billing InformationPayment information such as credit or debit card information and billing address may be collected through a third party payment provider. The payment provider uses this information to process payments and enable us to provide our services. We do not store payment card information.
CookiesWe may use cookies to store session information; for example to store a user's session token so that they do not have to repeatedly log in. We may use cookies to store user preferences; for example to store whether a user prefers MediSearch Standard or MediSearch Pro. Users can disable cookies in their browser settings.
Third party informationWe may use information from third party platforms to administer account and login information. Such third party services include, for example, Google login and Apple login.
Children's privacyChildren below the age of 15 are prohibited from using our services. We do not intentionally gather any personal information from children under the age of 15. Parents or guardians of children under 15 who have submitted personal information to us may contact us at the information provided below to request its deletion. If it comes to our attention that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 15, we will take commercially reasonable steps to remove that information.
Data RetentionWe retain data including account information (such as the email address), personalization settings (such as language, or font size), conversation history, and uploaded files. After your account is deleted, we may retain data where required to comply with legal, tax, or accounting obligations, and to resolve disputes. Analytics and usage data may be retained in aggregated or anonymized form.
Data DeletionYou may request the deletion of your account and associated data at any time by submitting a request through the Contact Us form in the app, or by emailing us at info[at]medisearch.io. Upon receiving a verified deletion request, we will delete the requested data, except for data we are required to retain by law or data that has been aggregated or anonymized.
